Running Tip of the Month!

Beat the heat!

Allow about two weeks to acclimate to the heat.  Once acclimated, make sure to take fluids along with you on any run over 90 minutes.  Make sure you take in enough sodium along the way.

Turn by turn course descriptions

 

The course has been selected to showcase the History, Diversity and Scenic Beauty of the Charlottesville and Albemarle County area.

The course will start and finish near historic downtown Charlottesville, Virginia then traverse some of the most scenic and historic areas on the East Coast. Proceeding out of Charlottesville, you will run past many historic sites including Thomas Jefferson’s Rotunda, located at the University of Virginia.  You will run through beautiful Albemarle Wine and Horse country, then back through some of Charlottesville's most historic downtown neighborhoods including 4 miles of FLAT running along the Riverview Park paved footpath.  Truly one of the most scenic courses you will ever run.

*Please note the race has filled  prior to race day unfortunately resulting runners being denied entry, therefore please get your entry in EARLY to secure a spot in the field!
