Running Tip of the Month!

Beat the heat!

Allow about two weeks to acclimate to the heat.  Once acclimated, make sure to take fluids along with you on any run over 90 minutes.  Make sure you take in enough sodium along the way.

THE HOPE CENTER OF CHARLOTTESVILLE

 Active Image

The HOPE Center of Charlottesville is a wonderful Community Center which provides support for local underpriviledged kids, the homeless and refugees.  The HOPE Center offers after school study programs, a computer room and book bags for all the kids.  Local homeless can also use the facilities and the computer room.  The Mission of the HOPE Center is to build community, challenge poverty and fight homelessness.

The HOPE Center helps the local kids with their homework, and provide job opportunities, clothing and training for the homeless and the refugees.
